The balms or ointments are secondary transformations, that is to say that there are other transformations to be carried out before arriving at the balm!

So I use my own solar oily macerates, sometimes alcoholatures (macerates of plants in alcohol) made by me, pesticide-free beeswax from a small producer near me, and some essential oils which complete the virtues of solar macerates.
